About the event

Learning to be a better listener can help us understand others — and goes a long way towards building and strengthening our relationships.

It’s also a service that we can offer to another life.

Most people would say that they want to be heard. But what they likely mean is that they want to be listened to, paid attention to, received in some way. They want someone to "tune into" them rather than "tune them out".

But what does it take to truly listen to another?

What does it take to truly listen to oneself?

And where does natural healing enter the picture?

In this event, we will begin to explore:

  • The amazing gift of hearing and how it works

  • The art and skill of listening that can lead to healing

  • Techniques that can enhance the listening process

  • What natural healing is and how we are immersed in it all the time, whether we know it or not

The event will offer unique perspectives on listening and natural healing that you may not have encountered before.

This event is for you if:

  • You've ever been told you are not a "good listener"— or simply want to be a better one

  • You are interested in natural healing and how it relates to listening

  • You are in a profession where listening is important — or want to be of service to others in some way

  • You want to tune in to the intelligence of your own life and what it may be trying to tell you

Join us live online to be part of the experience—recordings won't be available.

ABOUT THE HOSTS

A man in glasses and a blue checked shirt smiles, standing outdoors by a tree. Greenery and a clear blue sky are in the background.

ALLEN TACKE

Allen has been pursuing for most of his life the big questions to do with living. Questions such as: What are the purposes of life and what is the human’s place in it? This pursuit has led him into the realms of service to others through teaching and healing.

Allen lives in the Seattle area of the beautiful Pacific Northwest where he enjoys the peace and richness of his rural property and the scenic beauty that surrounds him every day.

He has worked as a mental health counselor for the past 23 years and has provided courses and trainings to others for the past 38 years. He is motivated by his love of humanity and his desire that every human life finds the depth and beauty and fulfillment of their life purpose.

Older woman with short gray hair smiles softly, wearing a checkered dress. Background features a serene outdoor setting with bare trees.

GAIL FILLION

Gail has always been drawn to Nature, looking for clues as to what caused it — and everything else — to be. Even as a small child, she knew somehow that the world was meant to be a better place, and that there were better ways for people to be. This gave her hope, and still does.

She also has a lifelong love of poetry and of language, and of the connections, elevations and fine feelings that these human expressions can bring.

Gail currently resides in the Greater Boston area, where she strives to balance the exigencies of living in these challenging times, with her ongoing pursuit of what life and living may actually be for.
