The Covenant

There is an agreement given

Reaching out to all

A covenant extended

To humans upon this ball.

We have one life to meet it

For we must play our part

To satisfy our end

Which is promissory from the start.

There is no exclusion

Exerted on anyone

The covenant is there

And will remain just as begun.

Only by default

Through laziness and delay

Can we exercise denial

Upon out part to play.

For this is only fair

Not punishment, not pain

Exerted upon anyone

For it is ours to honor and gain.
