Yellow

 

Yellow is a majestic sun-

   flower, a day with a loved one

      where you lose track of the hours.

 

      Yellow is a story from a grand-

         parent, a walk on the strand,

            a loving lament.

 

      Yellow is longing for a sweet-

         heart, when two old friends meet

      and nothing keeps them apart.

 

            Yellow is a friend from child-

         hood, a dispute reconciled

      so all feel understood.

 

      Yellow is the warmth of a fire-

   place, the power to inspire
