Filling Your Home With Positive Energies

In this article, Tina and Graeme Allan look inside our homes and introduce how home design has boxed us in, preventing us from naturally gathering and retaining positive energies in our own living and work spaces. The article goes on to point the way towards dispelling this trapped energy to create a positive oasis to assist us in leading more enhanced lives.

What is a Home?

What are our homes? Are they bricks and mortar to provide protection from the elements and security from outsiders? Are they financial assets we possess, hoping for a steady increase in valuation that we can benefit from in the future? Are they a place of rest, solace and escape from the stresses and trials of modern living?

They can be all of the above and more, within our view of what our home is.

Do you consider your home to be a special place, which can contain positive feelings or energies to heal and uplift you? These energies go into building the atmosphere inside your home, and the nature of this may influence your mood or behavior that day or evening. What do we mean by an atmosphere? It is simply a miniature version of the atmosphere that we know encircles our planet. It houses air, electrical energy, water vapor, dust and can even have, in small, the weather patterns we experience in our planet’s atmosphere, e.g brightness, depression, changeability etc.

A Practical Exercise

Here is a practical exercise to register a change of atmosphere in your home:

The next time you feel in a bad mood at home, from a bad day at work, or an argument with a friend, take some time out to change things around in your living room. Physically clean your space, rearrange the furniture a little, bring a new plant or some flowers into the room, put some special pictures, writings or items on the table and other surfaces.

Then go around your room with a spray bottle with water and some mint in it, and liberally spray the water all around the air above you, particularly focusing on the corners at ceiling level.

Next take a bell, a chime (or if you have neither, a fine wine glass that you can flick to give off a note), and go around your room once more, ringing or chiming in the air and in corners. Lastly, walk around your room, humming or singing a special tune or song you love—again, spending particular time at the corners.

Now sit down, take a few deep breaths, and for a few minutes, try and sense the difference between before and after. If you feel a difference, you were successful in changing the atmosphere in your room.

Pathways of Possibility regularly offers online events where we share simple practical ways and means to electrically clean your home and introduce positive and uplifting energies to create a rich, inviting atmosphere into your home ecology.

Modern House Design Blocks Positive Energies

For many hundreds of years, it has been the norm to build homes as square boxes—some may be very grand, most are less so. In the corners of these box-shaped rooms, negative energies gather, like murky cobwebs full of dust, but cobwebs you cannot see. Consider, however, the teepees of the Native Americans, the yurts of the Mongolian Steppe peoples, the igloos of the Inuit—these were all circular in shape. One might say this is primitive, but perhaps these corner-free homes and ecologies were able to attract and hold positive energies far more effectively than square or cuboid homes and offices.

We cannot easily return to living in circular homes, but here is a simple practice to help banish the murky energies that get trapped in the corners of your room:

Cup your hands as if they were holding a small ball. Then clap several times close to each corner of the room. This form of clapping disperses these negative electrics trapped in the corners, and if you then go around with your bell once again, the corners will be replaced with lighter energies. Once more, sit inside your room and see if you can register the difference.

The Four Elements of Transforming your Living Space

Did you know working your way through the simple grid of Earth, Water, Air and Fire, offers a straightforward approach to electrically cleaning your home? Here are some first simple examples:

Earth

Physical cleaning, appropriate use of plants and stones.

Water

Spraying the room with minty water, having a small running water feature in your room.

Air

Clapping and belling your room, particularly the corners

Fire

Lighting a candle, or burning some incense in your room.

Just 15 minutes a day can keep your room energetically fresh, uplifting and inviting.
